MG TD TF 1500 - Anti roll bar youtube video
My ARB project is slowly progressing. I have ordered a pair of MGB spring pans with the lug and hole to be on the safe side and expect to receive them within a week or so. A couple of months ago LaVerne published the link to a very useful Youtube movie about mounting an ARB on a TD. Now I cant find the link. Can someone help me? regards, Jan |

Jan THis may be the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN3BdWod1Cs however when I tried to open I get the message "This video contains content from SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds." Stuart I see I have moved from Gold Coast, Qld, Australia to Quebec ???!!!! |
Stuart Duncan |
The video was of my TD! However I now get the same error message as above. Can't tell you what it means. Perhaps music copyright problems? Here is a pictorial on Ttalk of the job: http://www.ttalk.info/LEDTFBar.htm |

See http://www.ttalk.info/ARB_systems.htm for more on the subject. Shucks, I was hoping to use the video in about a month. Bud |

He got hit with because of the music deal. I have all the bits and pieces of it on my PC, but not edited or put together. Maybe a project for a cold day. |
MG LaVerne |
La Verne It would be appreciated if you could again put together the video and post it. Like Bud, I was going to use it to help me install the MGB spring pans and bar to my TD in the next couple of months. Stuart |

LED, I might be able to do something on Ttalk (no background music, thank you). How long are the segments that you have? What format? Just a thought. Bud |

I have the raw video Bud. I'll see if I can put something together. I believe it's jpeg. Not sure how long all the bits are but I'll see if I can make into something usefull. |
MG LaVerne |
jpeg would not be videos would it? mpeg or avi perhaps. I can do it if you don't want to LaVerne however the bits are going to be awful big to email. If you can put them on a DVD or thumb drive I'll be there on the 17th maybe. Or wouldn't it be easier if he just removed the music and reposted it? Ed |

Whatever it takes - I have the capacity to host it on Ttalk. Ed, it sounds as if you're in the know of doing this. I'm just an amateur. Bud |
Bud Krueger |
LaVerne, if Calvin can just email the video (with or w/o music) to Bud and he can host it, that's the easiest way. May be too big to email but it went over the web to get to Youtube so it s/b doable. |

I just put a good number of the snippets together...no music just the sound of what was going on. 40 minutes worth. May be to large to load on you tube and way to big to send as an email. I'll run through it and see if I can cut some crap out and then make an attempt to load it to you tube. Your right Ed..MPEG...I was thinking pictures. Do you guys want some text to describe whats happening or do you just want the video? |
MG LaVerne |
LaVerne, Your kindness in doing this is simply overwhelming. If you ever come to Norway please check in at my home! I guess the movie is the most important part for most of us, but of course any text on critical matters will very welcome. Once again, Thank you! regards, Ja n |

Ok I got it down to about 35 minutes with text. I'll have a go at trying to load it on youtube tonight but I have my doubts. Would love to Jan but I doubt that I'll get the chance to see your country. |
MG LaVerne |
Laverne Like Ed mentioned there are various ways to reduce the file size of the video using different video formats and resolutions in case too big for YouTube. A way to transfer the "big" file to someone with video editing/conversion apps is to post it on a Googledrive folder and then email a "share" URL to it to that editor person. (just google googledrive and/or how to share a googledrive file/folder.) The smaller file could then be posted to T_Talk and/or Youtube Randy |

"Too long" for you tube. So I will split it in to 3 parts and put it on that way. I'll look at your suggestions if this proves unsatisfactory to the masses Randy. |
MG LaVerne |
LaVerne, I thought Youtube removed length restrictions? I know I've seen some long winded things on Youtube. Jay Leno's Garage comes to mind. But do whatever is easiest for you. Ed |
efh Haskell |
It told me to long even though I had it at a low quality setting. |

Links to LaVerne's great new music free Youtube version are now available in new thread on this forum. |

See http://www.ttalk.info/ARB_systems.htm for the updated version. Bud |

Just great! Thanks a lot for preparing and posting that. Let's hope the barking does not violate any copyrights.. Rgds Mike |

LaVerne, When watching movie clip #3, I see that you decide where on the dumb irons to drill the mounting holes for for the ARB without lowering the car to the ground to establish where holes should be when springs are compressed to the "neutral position". Is that not an issue of importance? Thank you for clarifying this, regards Jan |
