MG TD TF 1500 - back on all 4's
just finished the conversion to the 4.3 rear from Dave Clark. Anxious to test out. Maybe it will be nice enough this weekend... Then the push test to get the speedo recalibrated. ![]() |

TLW - You can get a ratio box made up by Butch Taras instead of a recalibration of the speedo. Contact Butch at: mgyowner@yahoo.com Cheers - Dave |

Dave Thanks. i have been looking into both. conversion boxes look to me more expensive. |

TLW I see the MGA breather mushroom & I think I can see the MGA "saddle" under the "U" bolts? Pretty car. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

TW Dave Clark also did my differential upgrade. I have been extremely happy with it and I'll bet you will be too. Peter, Dave included the MGA saddles and the breather with his package. It is a very complete product, except he did NOT drive over to my house and install it for me. I had to do that myself. I sent my speedo off to Nisogner for recalibration. I felt that was the way to go and they did the job with no fuss or muss and at a reasonable price. Plus they fixed my clock while they had the unit. If you run into any issues with the install, I would be glad to assist via email or phone. Beautiful car. I LOVE the color. Tom '54 TF |

crated up and ready to go back. quite a system Dave has. crate weighed 135 to me and 125 going back. (no shafts in the return crate. everything went as well as i could have expected... except... when i went to put the axle nuts on, one had a different thread. going back to my old axles i could see one was different than the other. guess someone at some point had broken an axle and just grabbed one out of an older model or another kind of car... ordered a new nut. all is done. ![]() |
