MG TD TF 1500 - Backward State

Tried to buy some Redline MT90 here in Western Australia, nobody has stock even Redlines main distributor Coventry Motors, but they did have the Shockproof stuff and told me it was the same, I sent 3 emails to Redline Australia to ask if this would do the same job but did not receive a reply so I sent an email to Redline USA, this morning a New South Wales (Aust) Distributor rang me to say Redline had passed my email on to him and he would be happy to supply me with MT90 but he has no stock and won't have any until around the end of June.
So I am going with Penrite 80-90.
Definitely a challenge working on the MG, parts ordered from B&G on the 26/4 still not here.
I am now in a Depressed state LOL

Perhaps a case of Foster's Lager might help?

Geoffrey, it is only 9.00 am here even a bit early for me to have a drink, come 6PM and I will have a few to dull the pain.

MT90 and Shock Proof is NOT the same.

Contact these guys if they will ship to Australia.

Thanks Frank, I am sure they would but the shipping cost would be a bit expensive to Australia even though the base price is very good a lot cheaper than over here.

G,
If it makes you feel any better I changed to MT90 Redline a while back because I was told it would reduce gear crunching. It did not. I think it might reduce future wear on the syncros but I guess it won't fix existing problems with them.

I started using MT-90 on the gearbox gears and back gears of my lathe.
Its quieter than it has ever been.

Well I managed to get some MT90 It was hidden away on a shelf in the distributors store.
I will give it a try, I don't expect miracles just want to have the correct oil in the gearbox.

Thanks to all
