MG TD TF 1500 - Bill Chasser Jr - TD4834 RING RING RING
Hey Bill - I'm calling you because I will be replacing the rear case of the gearbox in my TF soon. Perhaps we can share some tips. Please contact me by email. Actually, I probably won't have much to share since I have never seen the inside of an MG gearbox. I'll be a the shop of a founding member of our MG club (1963) in a few days to take some pics of a disassembled gearbox and see what is involved in removing/replacing the rear case. Thanks, Lonnie Cook TF7211 Orlando, FL lonniecook [at] aol [dot] com |

Lonnie, if you download Issue 22 of TTT2 you'll find a useful article on the TD gearbox which is almost identical to the TF. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Peter - I downloaded Totally T-Type2 with your article a few months ago. It is stored on my computer with my digital WSM. http://ttypes.org/ttt2/pdf/TTT2-Issue22.pdf I've read it and the WSM a few times, but won't actually know what it all means until I'm inside the gearbox. Thanks for taking the time and effort to write an update to Section F in the WSM. Lonnie TF7211 |
