MG TD TF 1500 - bleeder tube tin, what car

Attached is a picture of a bleeder tube tin that came into my possession. I don't think its for a TD since it says "Disc Break Spares".

Does anyone know what it goes to? It is of value?

I see one on eBay, that bares the name Lockheed. Which is correct, Lockheed or Dunlop.

Thanks

These were not part of the kit but many have them because they were sold at the same time and other cars of similar vintage did get them. Sort of like the trouble light.

Not seen a tin with the "Disc Brake Spares" notation Jim. The yellow Lockheed tin without the Disc Brake Spares reference (see pic below) was fitted to the TC & TF. The tin is not mentioned in the TD parts list but I believe it was available as an optional extra. The early T Types (TA & TB) had the white Lockheed tin with the brown lettering. I'll send you a copy of the T Type tool document I'm preparing. These Lockheed tins are much sought after & can bring quite high prices, especially the brown on white. You could pay up to $150 for a tin like the one pictured below & more for the earlier version.

Search for Jaguar Mk2 toolkit and you'll see identical tins in (sold) eBay items.

So I'd guess it's a late 50's/early 60's tin for disk braked cars like the Jaguar.

Thanks William;
I once had a 61 Jag Mark IX.
Perhaps it came from that?

Same with 3.4 Mk1

Did not see the disc brake comment originally :-(

Jags, Austin Healeys and even some MGA's had disc brakes as was pointed out above.

Same rubber tube though.
