MG TD TF 1500 - Body work finished

I only get a little done each day, but the body and all the metal parts are now done and in initial acid etch primer.

I will be spraying the parts with a filler primer and sanding it next.

Bruce, I have one of those brackets with the stud plate and acorn nuts available for sale. Chrome on the bracket is only fair but the nuts are nice. Drop an email if interested.

The good part about restoring our cars is when the ignition key is finally turned, one forgets about the blood,sweat and tears involved in the restoration/rebuild processes!

I am one of those folks that while I do love driving our LBC's, I get a lot of satisfaction rebuilding them.

I am still thinking about a YT that I may be able to pick up as the next project.

Sincemy car did have parts that could have been added at the dealer (or later). I am shooting for a car that may have been modified at the dealer. Things like heater, temperature gauge, sports coil. First day after picked up at the dealer.

I dare say not too many cars left the lot without something added to them. I really think that is where the dealers made their money along with service.

My car got windwings, a full tonneau and spare tire covers in tan canvas, and a Porter straight through muffler that replaced the sputtering little exhaust she came with from the factory.
