MG TD TF 1500 - Bought another MG need insurance?

Good morning all.
Just purchased MGBGT to garage with TD so it won't get lonely. Now I need to get insurance, so I went to my current provider and was amazed to see their negative reviews. I quit reading after the first 5 full pages. Then I clicked on their positive reviews they had zero. I have never had a claim against them and was funneled to them by a large government ins provider. So my question today who is best ins. co. for our antique cars. And who's had to file a claim, what were the results?
Thanks in advance, John

I like Hagerty very much. Claim was settled quickly, fairly, and covered all the needed repairs. Had to go back to them a few months later when more below-the-surface damage was found, and they covered that also, no problem.

Hagerty, Two cars with them and one claim which was settled quick. Hagerty himself is a classic car nut and understands our cars. I wouldn't change ever. PJ

Heacock Classic is great. Ownership heavily involved in classic cars/vintage racing, etc. Very reasonable for typical restricted collector car policies. George

Very interested in the company you have presently - why not name names...maybe some of us have had a good experience with them. I do like Hagerty (one claim - zero problems) - also have have Grundy but no claims experience.

I have Grundy for both MG's. I had a sizeable claim when I hit the deer 3 years ago in the TF. No problems. Haggerty has changed their limited mileage from when I first purchased agreed value insurance 12 years ago, so I might choose them were I starting again.

I have State Farm since 1961. Like my agent, but so many costs increases it is getting prohibitive. Almost like they don't want your business.

Thanks everyone!
I got a quote from Hagerty this morning both car for less than I now pay for the TD alone. GEICO sent me to my present ins. Co., they don't write classic car ins. I don't want to name them but like their negative reviews they go on "forever"? I do better working on my cars than working on the computer so I could have made a mistake? Don't want to get sued! Thanks John

Though hagerty had a good rate they had to many restrictions regarding how the car was to be garaged. And ultimately woulfnt insure the care. I too am a longtime State Farm customer and ended up insuring through them. With a multicar discount, stated value, a low deductible, guarantee salvage buy back of $1. It was reasonable but still not as cheap as Hagerty. But then I wasn't restricted to the type of driving, mileage, where and how the car was stored. Cheapest doesn't equate to better in my instance.

State Farm would only go to a very low stated value on my TD in Florida, and suggested one of the classic specialist companies. Works well for me. George

I have had J. C. Taylor for over 30 years, no claims, no complaints, few restrictions, less than $200 per year. they accepted my original valuation without any fuss.

Hagerty was half the price I had been paying for insurance on 3 MGs (TD, PA, and PB Airline Coupe)through J.C. Taylor, with better coverage and fewer restrictions. Plus they have been long time supporters of our register and classic car events in general.

I switched to them several years ago and haven't looked back.

I have Grundy on six cars. Three claims all went smoothly and quickly, no hassle at all. Haggerty would be my second choice.
