MG TD TF 1500 - Brake fluid capacity?

Where have I gone wrong? Replaced all 6 cylinders and the master cylinder. Thought I would try a vacuum pump (Harbor freight) waste of time and money. Speed bleeders seemed a good idea based on user info in the archives. Might work for somebody else. Still had spongy pedal.
So that made me worry about pushing too much fluid and pushing air. I went about looking for data. There is approx. 260 inches of brake pipe including flex hoses (archive info and I measured some).
Couple 3 way connectors, a 4 way, 6 banjo fittings and cylinders.

The MC takes 4 Oz for the reservoir and another 1.5 plus for the piston and spring tunnel. Approx 5.5 US oz total. Hooked up a short hose and dumped back into the reservoir0. Pumped until fluid ran with no bubbles.

260" pipe (0.105 ID) brake pipe 1.25 Oz (?).
MC 5.5 Oz plus
Connectors and 6 brake cylinders and 6 banjos maybe
3 Oz.
That is approx 9.70 to 10 Oz.

WSM claims 1.2 US pints (about 19 Oz). brake fluid.
Where is the lost 9 Oz?

To run the MC dry takes 20 to 24 pumps (4 oz). I at least learned that much. So now I'll ask my wife to help and answer all her questions.

I used a vacuum pump, started at slave cylinder fartherest from the MC, frequently topping up the MC.

When I git fluid at all cylinders I went with assistant pushing the pedal down, release fluid, repeat, sloooowwwwlllly.

Got good pedal, as I was using silicone fluid I repeated a few days later.

Later fitted SpeedBleeders, worked great, especially that I now have a remote MC reservoir.

Peter Remote reservoir is next. How did you connect to the reservoir? Thru the threaded cap or the large drain plug?
Peter Dahlquist

I bought Declan Burn's kit, very simple on LHD, little more complicated on RHD.

Well worth the expense.

Correction. When bench testing I ran 20 pumps to clear bubbles. Live bleeding is 10 pumps max before sucking in air.

I also got the kit from Declan for a remote reservoir. I don't find vacuum bleeders very effective and prefer a low positive pressure device such as the Motive bleeder. Works well with appropriate cap on the remote reservoir.

Is it the 1110 Motive cap that fits Declan's wonderful remote reservoir?
