MG TD TF 1500 - carburetor throttle coupling bolts
I just snapped off one of my carburetor throttle coupling bolts. Moss just sells a "coupling kit" for $44, not the individual bolts. Are these bolts particularly special or could I just use a small bolt & washer & nut that fits enough to make it tight? |

Anything that will fit and tighten up will work. However, the correct bolts and nuts are not that easy to find. I know Joe Curto has the correct bolts because I bought some from him recently. Save your nut if you can because he was out of them and they are thicker than others more available. I ordered some from Abington earlier, but they sent machine screws that weren't original. |

Geoff - send me your address, please - I can send you one. Tom Lange MGT Repair |

Geoff, I'd suggest that you grab Tom's offer ASAP. Those bolts/nuts are of a particular size and shape to fit into the coupling so that you can readily loosen/tighten the nut. They are not run-of-the-mill. Bud |
