Good day: Attn: Mr. Cavey: The dome nuts you have are indeed for an Altette (Lucas) horn. They are the "fluted" type used on Pre WWII horns as the post war nuts are hex head based (with out the indentations or "flutes"). Now, just who termed the word "fluted" I have no idea but at least it serves to differentiate the two styles. The post WWII nuts are used on the TC, badge bar mounted 12V Altette horns and are also found on the 6V and 24V models. Cheers all; respectfully: Jack Emdall, TC6768/TD3191, Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, Canada |
