MG TD TF 1500 - Chrome cleaner
May be a silly question but is there a preferred chrome cleaner/restorer favoured by the contributors on this forum.Mine as a car to be used is showing its age but I can't justify rechroming just yet.

JK, I've been using this product for about 50 years, it does a good job. You can use it with fine grade (0000) wire wool on hard to clean sections of your chrome parts. Available from your local Halfords. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-cleaning/shampoo-polish-wax/autosol-metal-polish-75g John

Quick-Glo is very good, is on Ebay and Amazon, I bought direct at http://quick-glo.com/. Peter

Simichrome paste. Great on brass and all metals as well. Not abrasive.

If your chrome is past its best try aluminium foil and vinegar. Jan T

Bronze wool works great. Won't scratch chrome and leaves no particles to rust. For stubborn areas add a little automotive liquid buffing compound. Best stuff I've found. You can get bronze wool at better (local, not big-box) hardware stores and at boat supply places.
