I spent many a pleasent hour listening to them.

Sad, sad news. Oh my goodness, I could laugh and laugh with those two guys. Their laughter was so infectious over the radio. Got great chuckles just this weekend, on the re-runs.

I manufactured reasons to have to drive somewhere on Saturday mornings just so I could listen to Click and Clack. A sad day for anyone who loves cars and a good laugh. Jud

Now I konw I am getting old - I know the people who are leaving us.

Was it Tom or Ray who owned a TD?
Really sad news.

Oh no. So sorry to hear that. I actually learned a bunch of useful- and useless- stuff from them. RIP Tommy! George

This is what Tom had to say about his beloved TD:
"The MG TD is my dream car. It always has been. I think it must have to do with something that happened in my childhood. Actually, I remember a car at some amusement park that looked like a TD. For a minute, I thought I was attempting to recapture my childhood, but my wife tells me that my childhood is alive and well -- and residing in this old, decrepit body. And besides, you try driving $500 jalopies for 40 years -- you'd cave in too."

Somehow, NPR just won't be the same anymore. I can't count the number of times I almost crashed the car (or the truck on the way to the dump) laughing with them. The advise on Car Talk was almost as good as the humor. Almost.

Darn, I will miss him. The pair of them could really make me laugh...

Not that it makes this any less sad..but they have been in syndication since the fall of 2012..according to a web search. Regards, tom

I called them once about an issue I was having with a Subaru. Mentioned I owned a TD and ended up talking about MG,s with them. Tom will be missed.

I've been downloading their podcast for months now...listening to them whenever I go any distance in the car. I didn't realize the show was all repeats until today but I did wonder why all their callers had 20+ year old cars...now I know.

Gonna miss Tom.

I read somewhere that they are using a lot of calls that were never aired before, as well as some repeats. Some of the recent promos are definitely new as well, so still great to listen to. George
