MG TD TF 1500 - Clutch lever

Would someone be able to tell me the actual size of the clutch lever i.e the 3/4" bell housing lever. I need to know the orientaion of the keyway is it on the centre line or is it some degree away . Moss Pt # 190-380 refers.
Many thanks.

the keyway is offset but I can't remember by how much.
The drawing of the gearbox at the start of Section F in the WSM shows the relative positions of the levers.
Hope this helps.

John,

Attached is a snapshot from the gearbox section of the WSM showing the angle of the drop lever relative to the clutch fork. It also shows the of the keyway on the cross shaft. This shows a RHD car but it also holds true for a LHD.

Thank Ray and John.
Attached is a rough sketch of the clutch lever I need. I have tried to purchase one in Sydney but I didn't have any luck. I will make my own but what I really need is tha angle of the keway from the centreline. I think it possibly is 30deg. but need some surety of this. The other dimensions I need are dim. A and C but they are not too critical. Because of the pandemic to try and obtain a lever from the UK or the States shipping would take too long. Any help anyone would be able to assist me with would be great.

Inputting John's snapshot into my CAD system shows the rough angle required required due to the resolution. I would say 60° as shown.

Here is a good image of the lever:

If you were to print the image and use a protractor you should get a fair questimation.

Good link Graeme!
When I kook at that photo and the photos on the Moss and B&G websites, it appears that the keyway is inline and not at an angle. The workshop manual appears to be wrong.
That part is damn expensive-£91.40!!! and looks very cheap Chinese to me.
Maybe I should start making them. I sell my needle bearing levers for the sump that goes with my rose jointed clutch rods at half that price.

John,

You seem to have found an issue here.

I have checked the lever on my spare gearbox and found that the keyway is on the centreline of the part. I then tried to check the box on my car but was not able to see the slot.

Attached are two photos pulled off the net, one shows that the slot is offset the other shows it centered.
It could be that one is for the early 5/8" dia shaft and the other for the 3/4". My spare box has a 3/4" dia shaft.

John,
I think you are right. Here you can see them side by side.

After I posted I did a further search and came to the same conclusion.

Thank you all for your comments which is appreciated. Hopefully I will be able to receive another lever next week and check it against the one on my car.
