MG TD TF 1500 - Devin TD ?
For sale as a "Devon" TD, seems to be a genuine Devin TD though: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1950s-DEVON-bodied-MGTD-/151207779984?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2334af9e90 It looks as if this one has a tubular frame. Interesting ? Worth to restore ??? There is at least one other Devin TD: ![]() |

I think I recently saw a Chasing Classic Cars on the Discovery channel where Wayne Carrini found a Devon bodied Ferrari. Jan Too |

Wow, as low as that sits I cannot imagine it having a stock MG frame under it. |

Ruddy shame that someone let a lovely car like that get into that state. |

Now that is a car that needs to be saved. What an interesting vehicle. If it only were in the US. |

Wow, misread that. The car is in the US. Wonder why he is selling it in the UK? I wrote to him to get more details. This could be a great retirement project. |

Wonder why he is selling it in the UK? I wrote to him to get more details. I was wondering the same thing. Kinda odd to sell a car in the US and have no USD price listed. Actually, I've never seen it done before. PJ |

I asked the guy why it was only listed with a UK price? His answer, Quote, "PJ,If you can't figure that out, the cars not for you. Thank you for your interest"! Who's the dumb ass here? Me or him? PJ |

Him. People lack a basic level of honesty and integrity today. Fortunately, as a group, this is not true of the MG community. -David. |

This car was discussed by the MG Vintage Racing group...the owner is known and is knowledgeable. I would guess he's advertising it in the UK because he believes it will bring more money than here. Here's a an old article in BAT (Bring A Trailer) on a Devon bodied TR...also a beautiful car: http://bringatrailer.com/2007/12/16/vintage-race-project-1957-devin-triumph-special/ |

"Specials" seem to sell better in the UK, although this is so typically a US body that I wonder. I've noticed that such cars seem to sell for relatively little money in the US, or that there is a HIGH asking price when restored, Yet they're always sold by the time I have heard of them...
