MG TD TF 1500 - Door hinges?
Moss doesn't list door hinges lately and I'm going to need some! Any new ones out there? Brass of course. PJ |

If you still have the old ones PJ you could always ream them out & use oversize pins. Works a treat & you can't tell it's been done. Maybe someone has some old ones you could repair? Otherwise perhaps try AS? Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Peter, The car has two aluminum hinges on the right door, not Brass. Must have been a cheap replacement way back when. Only pair I've ever seen. Anyway, they don't work right and bind, one has the pin in upside down and to push the pins out, the aluminum will bend as their so tight. The left door hinges are sloppy and one is bent. I would replace them with new if I could find them. Moss listed them last year, but not now. PJ |

Just found the hinges at Moss in their latest hard copy catalog! Maybe I looked in the wrong place on the web site, have to check with them today. PJ |

Paul, they are #33 on the website TF body panels page. The only available hinges many years ago were aluminum. Pricey things, of course all 4 are different. It will still take a lot of adjusting/fiddling/and maybe shimming to get doors aligned and working properly. George |

Thanks George, I realize from all that has been said that the doors can be a pain to get right. I'm just happy that I'm at this stage and willing to put up with small aggravations as such. I have a lot of Brass shim stock. PJ |
