MG TD TF 1500 - dwg file of a XPAG headgasket

Hi,
Is there by any chance anyone that have a dwg-file of a headgasket for a XPAG engine.
I am going to get myself a coppergasket and it would be a lot easier if someone could help with a drawing.
Othervise I have to produce one!
Greatful for any help or advice.

I got this from "Gaskets To Go". They made me a thick composite gasket similar to Moss except about .090" thick.

I also have a solid copper gasket from "Gasket Works". My head and block were not machined and the irregular surface didn't work with this one. Its also about .090".

Let me know if your interested.

Anders,

Can't you send your old head gasket to the place making your new solid copper gasket?

Also, Mort mentioned gasket works...I know they have XPAG copper gaskets...I had sent in an old one years ago for them to use as a guide.

Thanks for your advice.
The company that will help me have to make a AutoCad drawing to produce the gasket. My thought was that someone already had done this.

First, you'll have to determine which of the two configurations you'll need, the "round hole" or the "banana hole."
If the holes for the bores and for the water passages were round, it wouldn't be too difficult. If you look at the holes for the bores, they have quite a complex circumference, and the banana shaped passages would be very tedious to measure.
It would take many hours to generate that drawing file, whereas, I cut a copper gasket out in about an hour.

Hi, well I need a gasket with round holes and have just asked the company that will make the gasket to produce a AutoCad drawing of the gasket. When finished I will try to link it to this thread.

Anders,
I can make you a print, however I went down to the barn tonight to look at an old gasket and have no way of measuring it accurately. Specifically the gasket holes on the cylinder are two portions of a circle, with tangential lines connecting them. If you wish to make a sketch of a gasket I will translate it to an electronic version, but it will only be as accurate as the measurements given.

I have purchased a solid gasket from cometic (www.cometic.com ) and they didn't require a file... $100 USD.
