MG TD TF 1500 - engine stabilizer bracket
| I have a simple question. Is the engine stabilizer bracket at right angles to the face where the link attaches? Attached is a photo of mine. Notice the bend at the arrows. I can't seem to find a photo that isn't taken from an angle to be sure. I found one on Dave Braun's page that appears to be at a right angle, but I wanted to ask to be sure. Thanks for everyone's help, Jim

| Mine has bends in just about the same area. |

| Do you have a 5 speed conversion ?. Some move the engine forward and the bracket is bent to accommodate it. Ray TF 2884 |

Not a good pic, but my bracket is perfectly straight. PJ

| Thanks for the comments. I have one answer with a bend, one straight...and no, my TD does not have a 5-speed. Can anyone break the tie? Thanks, Jim |

| The engine control bracket on my TF is straight. Original XPEG and gearbox. Lonnie TF7211

| I got it...Thanks so much. I thought it was supposed to be straight. After looking at some archived posts, I checked closely for cracks, and it looks good. Let's see if I can straighten it without breaking anything. Thanks again Jim |

Ya it looks funny in the photo, but all of the ones I have dealt with were straight.
