MG TD TF 1500 - exhaust system
I have reached the position in re-conditioning a 1954 M.g. T.F. 1250 in purchasing and installing the exhaust system, and as such seeking out information as to what would be suitable alternatives considering cost and performance. John |

Bell exhaust from Kalamazoo, MI is where I got mine. Price was good and was the same dimensions as my old one. |

We have been using a Falcon Stainless for the last 63,000+ miles. still sounds great,,,, IMHO, you would be foolish not to go with stainless. SPW |

Have Bell stainless on both my TD and my B GT. They have held up well on both. |

I can attest to the sturdiness of the Bell. My wife drives her supercharged TD very hard- cruises at over 80mph, corners extremely sharp with tires squealing around half the corners, never misses a big pothole (hard on rims & spokes), and stands on the brakes at the last second with tires screeching with zero margin of safety. Had it up on the hoist last week and discovered the bottom of the muffler is scraped and flattened from bottoming out on something, probably going too fast over a nasty speed bump. It is still intact and it all held together, but not quite as pretty. I'll see if I can roll the flat side up out of sight so it looks perfect again and gain an extra 1/2" of ground clearance! |
