MG TD TF 1500 - Fan Belt Section
Does anyone know the specification of a TF fan belt. Would a SPB section be suitable or is the original an obsolete size. I need a pulley for my alternator conversion and don't want to spoil the original one. I could machine one from billet but buying one would be much simpler Jan T |

Dave DuBois has written an excellent article on this question. I'm sure if you google it you should find it easily. The specs are on the Green Stripe website. After reading the article I bought the Green Stripe 2 segmented belt he recomended. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Based on Dave D's article I put the Gates NAPA segmented belt on my TD a couple of thousand miles ago and have been very happy with it. http://www.svmgcc.org/tech_tips/Keep_Your_Belts_Loose.pdf Jud |

Jan, are you askng about the belt itself? My TF has a German made Flennor BX 9251LI on it. Segmented. You might have better access to this than a Gates belt, being in Europe. Tom |

I think Jan is asking about the cross-section of the pulley, where the belt makes contact. Bud |
