MG TD TF 1500 - Floor Matts

Anybody have any experience with drop in floor mats for the cars. Moss sells one set but it does not look like they are very custom for TD/TF and are real expensive.

Cris, have you ever thought of making a pattern and having a set made up by either a carpet store or upholstery shop. Seems like they are simple enough, that they could be made to fit and fit properly for your car at a more reasonable cost.

Chris I have a set they show as N/A in both the TD and TF. Not much time on the TD set. 20000 miles on the TF ones. Pretty nice, the only complaint I have is that the drivers mat "walks" up towards the pedals and folds itself . It might do better if I filled in the foot tray with a block of wood. There are no "spikes" to keep it from moving and even though it's shaped pretty tightly to the floor board it still moves up. You might ask if the ones they show are really just rectangles or if they are form fitted to the floor boards. When I bought mine they showed two similar sets at much different prices, but both showed the same picture I think. I like that the passenger side runs up over the foot rest on mine.

I have the ultra plush mats from Moss in my car. 240-750 They are a perfect fit and very nice. Spendy yes. I would recommend them for sure. I think the picture they are showing are for a different car? 240-750 is the correct number for the TD.

I have the Moss. Very pleased with them. Like LaVerne says if you have a drivers side footwell however you will want to fill it in with something because the do not have a cutout for the footwell. I just used plywood. Lost 1/2" of foot room though.

My feet are so big I have to take my shoes off anyway :-)
