MG TD TF 1500 - Floorboard to Pedal Box Pad
Happy New Year everyone. I have noticed the floorboard to pedal box pad is missing on the TF. Should be easy enough to manufacture. A couple of quick questions from the brains trust. Does anyone have dimensions? What thickness rubber is recommended? What is the optimal rubber to use for this application? Viton? Thanks

By the time you run around getting the material and working out the size/shape etc. just as easy to buy one already to go-- https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/263099154049

Should be easy to make also Willi. I have some sheets of old conveyer belt 'lagging', that is rubber with a canvas insertion. Great for making up insulation sections and exhaust straps.

Thankyou for the responses. I bit the bullet and purchased a commercially produced Pedal Box Pad. I have attached my dimensioned drawing on the other site if people are interested. Would be very easy to make your own Cheers Graeme

Just worked out how to attach a file. Hope this helps someone save a little cash. Cheers Graeme

| I make a similar part for Y-Types, but found the best material to be "medium density closed cell foam - 6mm thick". It needs to seal the pedal box to the floorboards and keep out road grime & grit - hard rubber sheet won't do the job - I have plenty of old ones in hard rubber that did not do the job.
