MG TD TF 1500 - Glovebox door stay
I have just fitted a glovebox stainless steel door stay. It is very much similar to the ones fitted to Morris Minors but will not rust. I think they look quite nice. I just have to fit different screws as I only had the square drive screws at hand. Regards Declan ![]() |

Declan; What is the source of the "stay"? There was one from a Jag posted but I need a more available source. Jim B. |

Jim, It's from a Triumph Stag. I discovered it on Fleabay just by chance. http://www.ebay.de/itm/301419336062?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Regards Declan |

Thanks; I ordered one. Jim B. |

Jim, I did fit a 2mm spacer on mine to get it to align and a slight bend to stop it fouling on the liner when closing. Test fit with double sided tape before drilling. Regards Declan |

I assume the spacer is between the bracket fixing plate and the wall of the glove box? Jim B. |

Correct-you might not need it as I'm sure these gloveboxes varied from car to car. REgards Declan |
