MG TD TF 1500 - Horn button connection
On my 1950 TD the horn button connection (40 Brown/Black) passes through the back of the horn push/dipper switch. Would some one be able to advise me as to where or how it is connected internally. A photo would be great if possible. Many thanks.

See http://www.ttalk.info/Horn_Button/ by Patrick Earles. It may have what you need. Bud

What I would like is to know how and where does the wire connect internally.Perhaps I am missing some part??

The horn power wire is connected to the center contact as shown in the Patrick Earles photos above (photo 7). There were apparently different attachment methods, as on the ones I have repaired there is a hole drilled horizontally through the center contact and the wire is inserted through that hole and soldered in place.

Thank you Lew, I have soldered my wire to the back of the cap which makes the contact . It now works for me . What a terrible design. I think the switch was designed during one of Mr Lucas's nightmares.
