MG TD TF 1500 - How do I submit a photograph

Gentlemen and ladies if applicable:

Firstly; I am inadequately, in the vernacular "out of the loop", with respect to most things involving a computer. Challenged does not accurately cover it--a ruddy shower is more appropriate.

1) I cannot get a photograph to somehow be transferred from my files, on to the wee submit "pop up" and,

2) somewhere, in the darkness, I seem to recall there is also a size restriction for this item.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sorry about the short message but my ruddy cat just walked across my key board, and I reckon hit the enter or some button or key ? I see that portion went through, as if I don't have enough grief with computers eh !

Anyway, my humble apology for messing things up and if anyone wishes to reply, use my home e-mail address rather than plug up the forum with the needed assistance I require. carminowe@eastlink.ca

Jack,
Will reply direct with email as well. but I think your issue is it has to be small enough.

I don't know the exact limit, but it appears about 640 x 480. Anyone know the exact number?

Press the Upload underlined text just below Upload a picture right under the comment box. I think you have to have a least something in the comments but I am not sure for it to upload.

Then pick the Choose File button and it will provide a normal dialog for you to pick the picture you want to upload.

Then click the Submit button to upload the file. It will give you a message counting up the percent as it uploads.

Then you can close the dialog and if you like the picture press the comments Submit button to complete the feedback

I think the limit is in regard to the size of the image file in bytes (KB,MB), not the dimensions of the image. The resolution is significant. I have a hunch that the limit is around 500KB, perhaps less. I'll send an email to Mike Plumstead, the Webmaster, and ask him. Bud
Bud Krueger

From the Webmaster:
Dear Bud,

Thank you for the email. The limit at the moment is 1Mb per image. I have just doubled it in the hope that this solves some of the problems.

Regards,
Mike

But, they don't have to be that large. Be kind. Bud

In "easy terms".
Using a digital camera a 3 mega pixel image should not be a problem.
(If I'm taking a shot to post here for someone that's what I set the camera to so I don't have to mess with software to change it.)
Once you have the image uploaded to your computer copy it to your desktop so it will be easy to find.
Click on "upload" below the text box.
Another window will pop up.
Select "desktop".
Click on the image and click "open".
Click "submit" and you should be good to go.
When done you can drag the pic on desktop to the trash.
(Downloaded image should still be in you pictures as you used the copy to do this.

Hope that helps.

David, how big is your 3 Mega pixel image? Bud

Here are the specs:

I use my iPhone and email the photo to myself. The full sized image is 2.2MB (bigger than allowed) but the "large" image is only 675KB - well within limits and still preserves a good bit of detail.
