MG TD TF 1500 - HT lead layout
I think there was a fairly recent post where someone mentioned that by orientating the distributor in a certain way the HT leads would fan out neatly without crossing. Enclosed is a picture of my distributor. Is there a neater layout? Regards Ray ![]() |

That was me. Flat side forward with #1 lead at lower left corner yields a neat layout, but no better than yours. Of course, someone pointed out that the leads can be placed anywhere as long as the correct order is followed. |

Just curious - what are those bumps on the tappit cover? Thanks. Jud |

Those are vents. For some reason many of the aluminum side covers had them. |

if there is no vent tube fitting you have to vent somewhere...the aluminum tappet covers deleted the fume tube and vented with the fittings seen in the first photo. regards, tom |
