MG TD TF 1500 - I saw this at Hershey today:
I saw this beautiful 1937 MG SA Tickford today at Hershey. It could be yours for only $159,500.

Interior: I thought about taking the wiper knobs for my TF, but decided against it.

Hmmm...thought Mark Hyman sold that this spring at Art of the Car in KC. Guess not. Fellow w/ the Lincoln was pretty straightforward anyhow - happens a lot. |

Typical pricing by Hyman, Ltd...Wonder who buys from them. |

David and all, Phil Frank (father of Nigel Shiftright) and I restored this SA Tickford over a 12 year period. I think it's now one of the best SA Tickford in existance confirmed by a profressional restorer friend in Scottsdale. We had a lot of fun doing it but then Phil got brain cancer and wanted to sell. We sold it to a chap who never used it and stored it away for several years for 80K, he recently sold it to Hyman for 95K, now Hyman is asking 159K.....I should have bought Phil out and kept it. Great road car but big!! I'm surprised he took it to Hersery, propably looking for a European buyer. Terry Sanders Oakland, CA |

Those laminated signs must be expen$ive! $60K mark up ...I'm in the wrong business. |

That is not an unusual markup by Hyman. I've seen it happen a few times now. Quite a few dealers do that kind of markup percentage...you see their ads all over asking to buy this car or that car. They then buy the car from a barefoot pilgrim and mark it up. It tends to distort the market significantly. |
