MG TD TF 1500 - I wonder Why

Abingdon never came up with something like this for the TFs?

Jaguar carb breather collector. Would have made changing filters more sensible. PJ

Paul S Jennings

A. It wouldn't have fitted.

B. It would be sheer hell getting the nuts on the studs inside the breather.

Come to think of it, given B, I'm surprised Abingdon didn't.

Paul:
My humble suggestion is to make your post title descriptive of the post actual content to aid future folks who search the archives. A title like " I Wonder Why" doesn't do much. There could be good content but now one could find it. Just sayin...think about it.

Doesn't the search function look for words in the body of responses and not just in the title. Also most threads develop as more responses arrive and quickly deviate from the initial topic.

True Jan but the problem with that approach is that you get totally overwhelmed with responses, many of which have little or nothing to do with the bit you require clarification on. I agree with Brian's humble suggestion & I only start a (precisely titled) thread if I can't find the info in the archive & even then I believe reactivating an existing thread, even if it is slightly off topic, is the way to go. I've revived stuff that goes back 15 years, always prefixing it with the words "Reactivated Thread". True however that threads, like conversations, quickly evolve & wander away from the original topic. That's the nature of humans I guess... Cheers

I totally agree! Don't know what I was thinking, one of those spur of the moment things that popped into my head while my fingers were on the keyboard. PJ

Paul, I can't see anything wrong with your post.
If you see a heading and it piques your curiosity then open it, if not don't.......then stay awake all night in case it may have been something interesting.
And you know you won't sleep until you fire up the computer and have a look at it.
PS I'm still a long way behind you with my TF.

Don, I'm down to recovering the seats, top and side curtains. Been waiting 3 months for the side curtain kit from Moss, by the time I get them, I might have to restore the car again! Anyway, possibly another month or two before it's on the road. PJ
