MG TD TF 1500 - inserts
I am trying to determine where these inserts are to be installed . They differ considerable from the inserts for door curtains . They are threaded on the inside and a larger hex flange compared to the ones used for door curtains . John

These look like they may be TC engine mount nuts. They should not be shiny though. -David |

Maybe those are fancy bolts to secure the tappet cover on the left side of our XPAG engines. They look like a much better choice than the original three soft metal special bolts that strip the threads so easily. |

Bingo Mr Sanders . They are in fact T.C. engine mount nut inserts . Thank-you to you and others for there assistance. John |

I thought so. They were so shiney, that threw me off. If you ever get a chance to see a TC engine mount bolt, you won't be disappointed. It is a real treat. It is long, tapered in three places and threaded in two. There is a flat jam nut that goes against these nuts. -David. |

Hello Dave About six months past I had two of the engine mount bolts which I sold not realizing that the nuts were most probably part of the set . Indeed they were interesting to examine the details. As I do not have a T.C. I will now have to find a buyer for these nuts. John |
