MG TD TF 1500 - Is This The -------------

Please see attached photo. Is the part the cover that goes under the dash on a TF? My car has a KL Heater fitted and I suspect the square cut out is the accommodate this. If it is at least I have a pattern to make a new one. I wonder if I can buy plastic sheet, similar to the stuff buckets and pails are made out of now a days. I could bend it to shape using my warm air paint stripper gun. It could also be used to make the panels in the foot wells that cover the body hoop.

Yes it is.

Show the old one to the local upholstery guys, they may be able to suggest a current upholstery board which can be shaped and has a textured finish.

Hi Paul,

Are you certain the B&G panel is correct? The one from my car is flat rather than box section and even though tatty the outline is still correct and all the holes match with my original underdash frame. I don't see where the vertical section of the one in your photo fits. The front edge of mine tucks in under the dash and is more or less flat, right to the rear where it butts up against the inside of the tool box. The sides are curved and one side fits against the glove box and the other against the steering column. The vertical section in your photo - the one with the two mouse holes is mising and I cann't any jagged edge where it may have been torn off. What are the two mouse holes for?

Cheers

Jan, it could just be the camera angle on the B&G one.
Here is a pic of mine.
