MG TD TF 1500 - Jeff Paynes TF Register list

Reading Jeff Paynes TF register of known TFs still with us needs to be up dated. Steve(?)updated it some time ago in MS Excel and did a wonderful job to say the least! But it needs to be updated with newer information. Would it be appropriate to ask permission to update this list? It would take some time to gather the missing numbers for a separate list to inject the information into the master list later if the particular car is found or not. There seems to be a large gap in the numbers in various areas. PJ

I have had no luck in attempting to contact Jeff for at least 5 years now. I keep the list available on my website (http://www.ttalk.info/jeff_paynes.htm) in hopes that Jeff may show up. I'd be quite willing to host someone else's list. Bud

I've been in contact with Jeff. He's going to be busy catching up. The list is at http://www.ttalk.info/jeff_paynes.htm . Email to Jeff can be sent by clicking on his name on the web page. Bud

Hey Bud,
Your link:
Jeff's latest list (with the glitch) can be seen at Tfreg.xl

If you click the link it prompts to "save". If you do that but then after you do that, rename the file as "xls" it will then open with excel!

The extension is incorrect ...might be why some are having a problem with it?

i.e. "xls" not "xl"

Good catch, David. Fixed it. Bud

Good News!!! I've heard from Jeff and he has sent me an updated list. I'll try to have it on line shortly, perhaps this evening. Bud

Great news Bud! Will be waiting. PJ

It may be a bit before the list will be shown on the website. The file is in pdf form. Adobe has pulled a real stinky one by making it extremely difficult to convert a modern pdf file into an html file for use on a web page. I'm working on it with Jeff.
In the meantime, to keep PJ and friends happy, I've uploaded Jeff's pdf file onto Ttalk so that you can open it from the site. I'm not putting this link onto the TFlist webpage. Just go to http://www.ttalk.info/TFReg030614.pdf and have a look. I'll let you know when it's ready. Bud

Bud,
Adobe has an inexpensive little utility that will convert PDF documents to Word or Excel or some others. Works very well.

Bud
Just looked over the updated TF list. I'm happy to see that my TF is listed, but my email address is outdated.
I looked over things and could not, for the life of me, see a link to Jeff's email.
Bud, could you put his address in this thread, so I can update my contact??

thanks
Tom

Okay, just go to the Ttalk car lists page (http://www.ttalk.info/car_lists.htm) and follow the clicks for the car lists. Your clicks will lead to the latest data from Jeff (or George). Bud
