MG TD TF 1500 - Looking a couple of decent wheels for a TC

I know were TD and TF, but I figure some have a TC or friends with a TC...maybe they went chrome and have a couple of good painted ones that need a new home.

Thanks
MG LaVerne

I'll check. I my have one or two. They would need paint, though.

LaVerne,

I have a bunch of wheels out in my frigid garage. I know I have a few TA/TB/TC wheels (centre-laced) but don't know how many. If you can wait a couple of weeks, I'll have a look.

You can have anything that is surplus to my needs, as my PA uses the outside-laced variety, and I sold my TC in 1953!

You'll just have to pay any shipping from Chateaugay NY to CO.

If David finds something, it will make economical sense if we combine any shipment, as I see David often.

Thanks guys.. No giant rush and paint is just fine.

He has an outside laced 19" with a couple of spokes missing and an India Tire of Great Britain on it. I was guessing it was from an earier T...either an A or a B. Any thoughts about it?

He also has a pair of 16" rims with snow tires. Another TC owner told me that was the "hot" set up for getting through the snow in your TC.

If its outside-laced, its likely off a J2/P-Series. As far as I know, centre-laced started with the TA.

However all of this is for naught, if the hubs are shot. Costs the same to rebuild as a new one.

I didn't inspect the hub and it may be just fine. Thanks for the information Gordon. Maybe we can find a good home for it.

The TA had side laced, I don't know if later TA cars had center laced or not. The tires (tyres) were narrower too. I think they were 4/19 vs 4.50/19

I just checked, the TA lists 4.50/19 tires. Somewhere I had some Dunlop 4.00/19 and I could have sworn they came from a TA.

Gordon, are any of those TC wheels damaged or worn out? I'm actually looking for a pair (2) of bad TC wheels, something not serviceable.
