MG TD TF 1500 - Lucas distributor free

Had a friend drop off a Lucas DKY4A 40081 distributor to me today, we were hoping the distributor drive gear would be the same as my TF 1500 but alas it's not,
so if anyone needs one of this model it's available for free, you pay shipping.

Cliff, what car is it for? I know of a couple that are correct for TD.

According to my Lucas catalogs, the DKY4A / 40081 specifically was used on the Healey cars (Abbot, Silverstone, 16HP, Tickford Saloon & 2 1/2 Litre models) from 1947-1954.

The DKY4A-type distributor in general (i.e. sub models other than 40081) was also used on the following cars:

Austin 16HP (late 1946-47) Austin A70 Hampshire, Hereford and Countryman (1948-50), Morris Oxford Taxi (1950-51), Triumph 2000 saloon & roadster (early 1949), Standard Vanguard (1948-49), Lea Francis (1949-53), MG TC (1950) & TD (1950-52), MG 1 1/4 Litre Tourer (1949-50), Singer [all models] (1946-56), Rile 1.5 Litre (1949-54), Wolsley 8HP & 12HP (1946-48), Alvis 14HP TA14 (1945-50).

The correct number for early TD is 40162A. Late model through D2A4/40367.

Distributor has been given away, however my friend says he has others (but nothing for the TF 1500 )I will keep you posted as to their condition and availability,

The TF1250 and TF1500 had the same Distributor Lucas No. 40367.

Hmmm.......I thought the late TD had the Distributor No.
40368,not 40367.
