MG TD TF 1500 - Lucas FL3 flasher decal

The Lucas FL3 flasher is what was installed on the TF's during it's production run.

Finding a NOS FL3 (and that works) is like finding rocking horse manure so I decided to make something up to closely match what was on the car.

Although what you get today is not the same size of the FL3 and closer to size the FL5 model, I went to see the local sign maker who helped me before with decals and to see what he could do for me.

I gave him a picture what the text looked like on an original FL3 and he scaled it to size of the FL5 style that you get today from the usual suppliers. I had it dated 10 53 which is typical of the date stamp on other Lucas items that were dated a couple months previous of the DOM of the car.

The sticker is clear with the black font lettering I selected matching it as close as I could.

So instead of having a plain looking aluminum canister on the tool box, I think it came out pretty nice.

Unless your eyeball is up close the the relay, you can't tell it is a decal.
