MG TD TF 1500 - MG Eye Candy
| I am am moderator on a group dealing with South Bend lathes.
the other day I posted a response on something to do with knurling. I mentioned that the par I was showing was for an MG-TD. One of the Long time members, from Auckland, New Zealand replied with this Story. "Last year my wife and I did 3 months away - Europe - UK - USA, and in Bristol I went to have a look at the SS Great Britain while Jan was at a netball meeting. On arrival, I found the dry dock car park full of cars from the MG Car Club, whose members were out on a holiday run in the beautiful weather. Being a bit of a car aficionado, I naturally took some pictures." I thought our members might enjoy them. Rather than create a Montage which does little for them I am posting them one at time. First one. Jim B.

Thanks Jim. I think VAs/SAs are some of the best looking MG models. Kimber also liked the VA. Ian |

| There is a huge collection of early MGs in NZ, including VA, SA and WA, all owned by one guy. And they get taken out all at once on tours around the country. A true enthusiast! |

| No Y Tourers in those photos, but some lovely SA's and VA's. |

| Yes I am mistaken about the YT. My E-Friend actually sent me two batches, the second was rejected by my Host, miss.com, because the first filled up my mailbox. I cleaned it out, and upgraded to 250 Mb os storage. Tony resent me the second group. I don't want to wear out my welcome since they are not T's but I can post the rest. I am adding just one which is striking. Jim B.

| Without a doubt, many of the SVW series produced some glorious MG coachwork. For a full listing of all pre-war MG models, go to https://www.mg-cars.org.uk/Lew/index.html However MG was prone to selling just some bare chassis that frequently produced some lovely models, and so a few ugly ones, too. Some of the specialty coachworks like Tickford, Graber, Charlesworth, Kelner, Ghia, Park Ward, and even Pinin Farina have produced the attached images ...

| I can't imagine that anyone who owns a T-Series wouldn't appreciate photos of pre-war cars. And if they do then they can simply avoid this thread. Post away! |
