I was looking at that, too, Jim... interesting to see it pop up. I suppose it's a good start, but it's gonna need one heck of a lot of work. Plus, I can't see how that top even fastens onto the car - there's a lot of bits missing. Basically, you're buying just the shell, since the rear window, rubber and all the rest would need to be fabricated. |

Has a fiberglass top with the contours of the soft top ever been built I've seen a few different fiberglass tops over the years but none seem to compliment the car. I guess the market would be small now compared to when they were newer and daily drivers. I commuted to the UW in the mid sixties with my '54TF and the Seattle rain was a pain in the blank but I was young. I even had the cap and pipe. |

There was a TD on craigslist awhile back out of Arizona that had a glass top that I believe had contours to it But he didn't know the manufacturer. |

Don't let brackets stand in the way of getting a hardtop. Brackets can be fabricated by anyone with a smidge of mechanical aptitude. If anyone here buys it, I'll post photos of our brackets with descriptions. |
JRN JIM |
JRN and I have about the same hardtop on our TDs. As Kevin said, it's gonna take a lotta work. Working with fiberglass is fairly easy to learn and repair. My attach points are a bit different than Jim's but not tough to fabricate. I can contribute photos and some simple advisories to the buyer. |
