MG TD TF 1500 - MGTD VOLTMETER

I have switched to an alternator on my TD that I have owned for 45 years. I would like to find a voltmeter that matches the rest of the gauges [that odd light green]. Any ideas ?

I would check with Declan in Germany, who frequents this site quite frequently. I think he has made up gauge faces to match the originals. PJ

I can't put my finger on at the moment, but someone makes multi-color LED indicators of voltage. Small enough to be inconspicuous.

Gammatronix UK. Use a P clip to fit to the bottom edge of the dash or steering column.

I painted a clear adhesive foil and printed it with my ink printer. Took a dished glas and a original crome beezel. The gauge is a normal smths instrument.

You need the illusive Jaeger supressed zero voltmeter. I can make them. This is what the dial would look like and it would be the same greenish colour as mentioned on the drawing.

The dial and the housing on my level gauge will fit the voltmeter. Just imagine this instrument with the voltmeter dial. The voltmeter needs a different movement (0 … 5V) plus a 10V zener diode to supress the range.

The ammeter also turned out well. I have the transparent stickers on stock but you have to spray the face of the dial in green. If there was an interest in a voltmeter I can have the dials professionally made just like the ammeter.
