MG TD TF 1500 - New Replacement for Arnold Heater
Just thought I'd document this for future reference... I came across it tonight while researching bits for my Arnolt heater restoration. Here's what looks like a dead-on copy of the original Arnolt Heater. Now, I can't see the front of this thing, and I suspect it's just flat metal (unlike the stylized Arnolt model), but the back end looks virtually identical to the Arnolt and I'll bet it fits nicely in a T-Series. Those wanting a heater (and unable to find an Arnolt) may want to consider one of these. http://www.classicpartsusa.com/product/HAC-201_1952/1952_Truck_Parts_Heating_and_Air_Conditioning_Items And here's the lighted knob rheostat for it as well: http://www.classicpartsusa.com/product/EL118_1952/1952_Truck_Parts_Heating_and_Air_Conditioning_Items ![]() |

Probably has a better heater matrix as well. |

It strikes me that someone looking to rebuild their Arnolt heater might be able to avoid a lot of work and simply redo their faceplate and install it on one of these units.. just a thought. |

Assuming they are indeed the same exact dimensions, Geoff, yes, that's a good idea! |

Where's the cantilever mounting bracket? Bud |

Not sure that's available on that website, Bud, but in an earlier posting here (probably in the archives by now) we discussed how to make one. You could also check with Ben Cordsen at sculptart@hotmail.com... he's the Arnholt heater expert and carries loads of spares. |
