MG TD TF 1500 - Photos too large to sumit
I have just dug my side screen frames out to take them to the powder coaters. Lckilly I noticed a aluminiumn Patent No 45067 badge fixed to the RHS door frame. This had been overpainted in the dark red body colour I assume by the factory. Unless you were specifically looking for it you would probabally miss it. Shot blasting prior to powder coating would have destroyed the plate so I will be cleaning and painting them by hand. However I tried to attach a photo of the plate in case there are owners who have never seen one but my computer says the file is too large to submit. This has never happened before. What have I done wrong or has something changed? Jan T |

Jan, right click on the photo and open it in Paint. Upper left is a resize button, click it and resize it to 40%. Then click file and save as, should work. PJ |

Paul, Not every one has Paint,,,,, and on my version here at work, there isn't an option to resize the image.. SPW |

Microsoft picture viewer (standard in office) has a resize option, in apple iphoto you can export the file and specify the size Often, when you email the file, you will be asked for the size to email, and then you can choose as well and email it to yourself Hope that helps Rgds, Mike |

A good size to keep the largest dimension to is 1024 pixels. If the image is 6k pixels wide, 40% still won't shrink it enough :-) |

My computer is about as old as my TF and still runs on leaded petrol. The only programme I could find that may allow me to resize is Libre Office but heaven knows what I should do! Fortunately today it is our turn to pick up grand children from school and our 8 year old grand daughter has sorted it for me using her Nexus tablet computer. So attached to this posting is a photo of the patent plate attached to the RHS, front side screen frame. I have never noticed one of these before on my former TD or the many TD/TFs I have inspected at shows. Is this something for the originality boys to look out for! Jan T ![]() |

The easiest thing is reduce the size of the images being taken your camera/phone. Most people seem to leave the size at the default of about 3MB. That's great if you plan on printing them at 8.5 x 11. Sometimes there is a setting for email images. Bud |

Jan - For a free, easily used photo editor, down load Irfanview at http://tiny.cc/e327ox Once you get it downloaded, e-mail me at SUfuelpumps@donobi.net and I can guide you through resizing pictures. Cheers - Dave |

I have a pair of front frames for a three bow top with that same plate. It seems to be only on the right hand frame. Jud

Hi David, Thanks for the advice and offer of assistance. The battery in our camera wasn't holing it's charge and it was almost as cheap to buy a Nexsus and I am now able to take photos and post them. Issue now is there is no socket on the tablet for the printer cable. Our 8 year old grandaughter has explained I will now have buy a Bluetooth printer! Just to reinforce my hatred of new technology a bulb failure warning lamp lit up on the dash of our every day car. A few minutes later I had a call confirming an appointment at the dealership for the bulb to be changed. The dammed car had made an appointment for me! Almost as Scarry as the car called Christine in the film. Jan T |

Jan, your bulb failure automatic appointment is very impressive. What year is your Rolls? lol |
