MG TD TF 1500 - Pictures - iPhone to BBS
"If I take a photo on my ipad, how the #### do I send it to the BBS??" This works for my iPhone so it will probably work for an iPad. After taking the picture I email it to myself (I select an image size less than a meg so I don't have to resize to to post it). I open the email on my desk-top and save the picture - I have a dedicated thumb drive for all of my MG images. Also, when I open it from the email I usually have to rotate it before I save it - iPhones seem to have a mind of their own as to which way is up. he picture is then ready for posting to a BBS message. Is there an easier way? Thanks. Jud |

I don't have an I-anything but I googled your question and found lots of stuff. Hope this helps: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3146 |

Firstly, you can rotate the picture on your phone, so you don't have to do it on your desktop. Secondly, you can upload a picture from your phone just like you do from your desktop. Hit the Upload link, then the Choose button and you can choose an existing picture on your phone or take a new one. Then touch the Submit button. This is all for Safari on the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 for this forum. Earlier i-stuff and other forums may work differently. |

interesting, as for upside down picture, it seems to look fine on my computer but results in a upside down picture on the BBS. When I rotate it on the computer it still transmits upside down. even though it looked fine before I selected submit. I can't seem to break the code..normally apple stuff is very intuitive bob |

How are you rotating it? If you are using the picture viewer in windows you have to go to the next/previous picture before it saves the rotation. Otherwise what's stored on the device is what you started with. |

I always thought that the upside down pics came from our friends in australia.!!!! |

Oh dear ... I confess to having asked the question at the top while posting an oil-pump query over on the TD site. Well,I more or less understood Jud's nice helpful response, as it sounds like something one of my sons showed me;I soon became fuzzy however, with terms flying thick and fast such as upload links and choose buttons,- so I have another son visiting this weekend, and I'll seek another lesson from him.I might take a photo of the "current state of play" with Y3348 just to practise. Thanks for the offers and suggestions; I'm relieved to hear that others with far more experience have troubles with rotating their pictures, or their cameras! John. |

Gents Download "Windows Picture Gallery" it may have the compatibility to directly import your photos. Once the photo is imported you can rotate, resize, caption and apply many other tools that are available. Just ensure you save the revisions prior to posting. Plenty of programs on the web with like functionality, this ones for free. Graeme |
