MG TD TF 1500 - Piston and ring lesson

I just received my engine rebuild parts and have some questions about the pistons and rings. They are County brand.
The rings come packed in pockets with a diagram showing where each ring should go. The rings packaged for the top have no chamfered edge so should I assume there is no special orientation for these?
The rings for the second have a ridge which according to the stamp on the ring would face the bottom of the piston. Other side marked "top".

The rings packaged for the third groove are 3 pieces. Then there's the rings packaged for the fourth groove which I believe doesn't exist. These are somewhat thicker and are perforated.
There's an empty place in the packaging for the bottom ring which would go below the gudgeon pin.
If my old pistons are a guide then the 3 piece ring isn't used and the perforated (oil scraper?) ring would go in the 3rd position.
See the attached pic.
Can someone school me on these? Thanks

Mark, I would ask the supplier their
recommendations, & take their advice.

Sounds like good advice Mark. Of course that only works if the supplier bothers to respond! Cheers

Double check that there isn't a tiny mark on the top ring indicating top. Sometimes the mark is so small it can be easily overlooked.

The bottom oil ring is usually omitted, but you still see 4 ring sets available from Moss & elsewhere. From what I've gleaned, County pistons are clones from the various different originals, made in Taiwan.

I think the best advice has been given - ask the supplier.

More modern engines commonly use the three piece design oil ring so lacking guidance, I would use that for the oil ring.

I tossed the 4th ring on mine.

I think we would appreciate reading what guidance the supplier gives.

"More modern engines commonly use the three piece design oil ring so lacking guidance, I would use that for the oil ring."

"I tossed the 4th ring on mine."

I agree.
