MG TD TF 1500 - Posting images from the WSM
I don't have a clue how to do this. I've tried to post what I thought were images from the WSM & of other stuff only to be told I can't post it because it's not in the correct format. I've just seen yet another WSM image on another thread & I'd really love to know how this was done. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Shoot the page with your iPhone and email it to your self specifying an image size of less than one meg. Save the emailed image to your computer and then attach it to your post. Here's a page I did some time ago. Jud

Thanks Jud. I'll give it a try. I don't have an I phone but I guess a digital camera will work. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Peter - If you have a scanner, download Irfanview (Google it) and install it on your computer. You can then scan the pages at 300 dpi in gray scale. Save it to your computer, then you can attach it to posts on this site by clicking on Upload and attach the file. Cheers - Dave |

It has to be in jpeg format and I think 1024 or less wide, but it may be more of a file size thing. |

Peter - < A lot of words, but only a few steps are required. > Here is an easy way to capture any part of your Windows computer screen and then post the image in an on-line forum. The program is already on your computer - - - "Snipping Tool" ==> HOW TO USE THE SNIPPING TOOL + Click on the Snipping Tool icon on your Taskbar, Start Menu, or Start Menu Search results. + Move the mouse to one corner of the area to be captured. + Hold the left mouse button and drag the mouse to highlight the area that you want to capture. + Save the image as a .jpg + Post the image file to the BBS ---------- Example of how to capture and post a section of the TD/TF Workshop Manual: (Takes a LOT LONGER to describe than to actually do) 1) Open a digital version of the Workshop Manual on your computer. 1a) If you don't have a digital version, then download it here ... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxisXBEpc-IWdHBJQmhEYkRZLWc/view?usp=sharing (you must copy the link and paste to your web browser) Click on the download button (downward pointing arrow with a bar across the tip) to download. You don't need to download, but the downloaded version is much easier to navigate. 2) Navigate to the page that has the area that you want to copy. 3) Click on the Snipping Tool icon on your Taskbar or Start Menu 4) Hold the left mouse button while dragging the mouse to highlight the area to be copied. 5) Click the "Save" icon (or click "File", then choose "Save"). Choose "JPEG File" in the "Save as type" box. 6) Post the image file to the BBS. If the image does not have enough detail, then enlarge the area that you want to copy to nearly fill the screen in order to get the highest quality image. Click on the "+" icon to enlarge, or click on "View" then choose "zoom". To enlarge web pages, hold the "Ctrl" button and click the "+" button a few times. Copy and save the area with the Snipping Tool. ---------- Can't find "Snipping Tool" Here's how to find it and never need to look for it again ... ==> HOW TO FIND THE SNIPPING TOOL (you only need to do this one time) Click on the Start button. Then enter "Snipping" in the search window. "Snipping Tool" will appear as a result. Right-click the name and choose "Pin to Taskbar" to always have it available at the bottom of your screen. Or choose "Pin to Start Menu" to always have it available when you click the Start Button. Now, you will not need to go through the silly search procedure that I outlined above. Only need to click one icon to launch "Snipping Tool" ---------- There are a number of other programs to capture the screen, including a Snapshot option in Adobe Reader. But the Snipping Tool is one of the fastest and easiest to use. Lonnie TF7211 |
