MG TD TF 1500 - Pure joy
It started. It STARTED!!!!!!!! I have not heard the beautiful sound of that engine since I was 11 years old riding with my dad with the top down , not knowing it would never happen again. I'm 47 years old and tearing up like a little girl. I suppose it's more about that moment in time than this one. I wish he were still here so when the resto is complete we could have that ride together but we me behind the wheel. I would feel pretty ridiculous right now but since most of you guys name your cars and celebrate their birthdays I think I'm in good company. Thanks for all the help gentlemen. Rob |

Would be great if you could put it on youtube with a lot of other "first start" videos! We would all enjoy it I'm sure! Ed |

Congrats Rob, and certainly understand the emotional part of your feelings. I named my TF after my father's nickname, "Meeker". With heartfelt cheer -- John |

Congratulations! I recently had the pleasure of taking my 86 year old Dad for a long country ride in my TF. He was grinning ear to ear the entire time. It was very special for both of us. I'm sure your father will be with you in spirit when you take that first ride. |
