MG TD TF 1500 - Rear springs 7 or 8 leafs
Moss shows 7 leafs for the TD. I have 8. There is a small one the size of the rubber pad on the bottom.

Bruce, This is me replacing my Late TD rear spring on the drivers side some years ago It has 8 leaves It is one of Mosses and could be Indian or Chinese not sure. Mine was a little tired... Not all just my weight lol

Ok. Thought I lost one. Thankfully I saved all the old rubber. Found the missing one in the rubber. Interesting that Moss's drawing only shows 7.

Hey Bruce, When I put my springs back together I switched the parts side to side to make them come out level. You may have already thought of that but if not it made my car sit level again. Rich

TF springs in a TD will slightly lower the car for better handling. ( Along with using the 480# front springs) Len

I think I may have done Rich's technique when I restored my car, but perhaps not on purpose. :-)
