MG TD TF 1500 - REMOTE MASTER CYLINDER RESOVOIR

I am tryin to find a remote master cylinder reservoir kit for a TD,, I believe Declan made it ??

I went to a junk yard and took one from a small car. It was held to firewall by one screw. Then I took the cap off the mastercylinder and installed a 90 degree barb. cconnect the two with appropriate hose and off you go.
No more than 8-10 dollars and you did it yourself.

Same desire, always difficult to see and fill and now almost impossible due to back injury and weight, is there are kit with instructions to buy or was there a description, couldn't find in archives

Here are photos of my kits. I can also supply a coppper pipe version. The machined cap replaces the master cylinder filler cap. The plastic reservoir kit now comes with a stainless steel laser cut mounting bracket.

But doesn't the wsm say not to fill above a certain point on mc? If so, wouldn't Declan's design violate that rule? Or is the rule meaningless?

I have Declan's unit installed on my TF. It is one of the best mocifications I have done to my car. Much easier to maint the level of brake fluid.

Ed, I think the master cylinder was used with a remote reservoir in other applications. This would account for the unused tapping and plug at the front of the reservoir. I have a vague memory of this in vans and trucks.
But all my memories are now vague :-]

Tell us more about the new mounting bracket.
Do you have a picture of it?
Do you still use a longer threaded rod from the battery holder?

Mort,
Here is a photo of it. It has an 8mm hole which fits on the battery J-bolt just like the old bracket but it also has two smaller holes so it can be mounted elsewhere.
