MG TD TF 1500 - Routing WW Motor Wire.
On the power source end of the WW Motor Wire The WSM indicates the hot leads go to A4 and the ground go to E. All A4 wires are Green. All E wires are block. Does the smallish WW Motor wire go directly to the terminals? I found a comment in the archives suggesting this. I could use shrink wrap on it to make it appear as Black/Green. I am using bundled shield wires for the ground, and would use shrink wrap anyway. Or does the thin WW Motor wire find its source internal to the car say the petrol warning lamp for hot and the Panel fascia ground for earth? Jim B. |

Jim, if you trace the wires in the wiring diagram you'll see that are tied directly to the E terminal and A4. I've never seen original screenwiper wires so I have no idea if the pair were green and black. Bud |

Thanks Bud. I routed them that way. I have some Green Shrink tubing on order. Wipers work fine. Jim B. |

I had a reproduction harness made here in about 1970 by Vic Longdon. This was one of his very early harnesses & the wiper leads were green & black. Cheers. Peter TD 5801 |

The green shrink wrap arrived and, aesthetically, it makes a big difference. The green is just a bit darker and the black is a bit grey. It adds nothing to the functionality however. Before and after attached. Jim B. ![]() |

Jim, Any chance you have any extra of the green wrap I could buy from you? E mail me off of the board. I have always been annoyed by the red/yellow wires on my car, exactly like your pre-wrap picture. George |
