MG TD TF 1500 - Rubber Foot Well
How is the rubber foot well secured in place when carpet is in? I think someone once said the original was sewn in, but that's not an option since the new rubber isn't designed that way. PJ

Just a snug fit into the footwell. Bud

Thanks Bud. I was thinking along those lines, but not sure. PJ

I use Velcro strips to solve problems like that. Two of man's best friends are Velcro and Zip ties.

The Velcro sounds like an easy solution.

Mine is just dropped in - been there for 3 years and never budged. BobbyG

The footwell won't go anywhere not attached. The only reason I could see fastening it in is to avoid the carpet from coming apart at the cut edge. I have even seen aftermarket carpets bound that way before.
