MG TD TF 1500 - Search Not Working

Is anyone else having trouble doing a search of the archives? Whether I am using IE 11 or Google Chrome, my searches result in no finds. This is even using such common single word terms as "gearbox, or "transmission", or "seal".
I'm simply trying to find a generic part number for the TD front gearbox seal.

I tried now, with "gearbox". Lots of hits. You may consider to empty your log and restart your computer.

I've had the same problem for the last week too.

I got a lot of hits using the ARCHIVES for gearbox,,whereas SEARCH turned up nothing,,,,

Well it is now working OK for me now.

One thing to keep in mind:

Search appears to work on the current BBS threads (ie less than 2 weeks old?). If the thread cannot be found in the current list than Search will not find it either. That's where Archive search comes in.

Having said that it was not working for me yesterday.

All is well now. Being a regular on the Triple-M Forum, I was accustomed to the SEARCH function and didn't notice that here the search has more material if one uses the ARCHIVE function.

Thanks to all for pointing out the error of my ways.

Lew: I don't think it was all your error. There are two search areas and for me during the period you had the issue the current BBS search was not working. All is well now.

But it is helpful to know there are two places, current and archive.
