Serge, are you asking about what we call the "running boards"? These are the pieces that mount on the body below the doors and between the front and back fenders.

Serge,

Does this help - Email me if you need others pics.

Having mounted the front wings and got the bonnet to fit as it should. [Very Important]
Mount the rear wings with the piping and test fit the running board. You can then mark the position of the holes. If they are not already there. There is a rubber grommet between the running board and the front of the rear wing joint - to allow water to run off.

Rod: Did your car actually have a front wing bolt as your noted? IF so please respond back with your car number.

The way I normally see the front wing attached at the back side is with two small round headed sheet metal screws.

Chris,
Doubled checked the TD and it does have two 1/4" bolts holding the back end of the wing to the body.

If anyone else looks under their car and sees 3/16" Whitworth bolts/nuts holding the back end of the front wings to the body I would like to know. Please include your car number too so I can see if there is a pattern.
