MG TD TF 1500 - Side Curtain Holders

Is there anyone out there in N. America who makes and sells cloth holders for TD or TF side curtains? I know Moss sells them, but they are quite expensive. I have heard of them in the past. I want to ask for this for xmas.
Please let us know if someone is out there.

Not to be sexist but I made my own. Use very light weight material otherwise it may be hard to pack them it the box.

I put a zipper along the long bottom edge of the front covers and along the front end of the rear ones. You just trace out the pattern, cut the material about 1/2" wider all around and then lay the pieces inside out. Stitch about 1/4" in or so and then when you are done turn them outside in and voila. You are all done.

I even made little feet for my rear curtains so they next properly. :-)

Just want I want Chris. Are you willing to make me a set of these bags?

NO. That was the sexist comment. You need to find a willing partner or learn some new skills :-)

For anyone else out there who does not sew....
I found a source on BritishCottageIndustries.com
I found Ken Nachman with Sidecurtains.com
He makes them at a reasonable price.

Has anyone bought from him?

Tom: The bags pictured will not work for the TD, but maybe the TF? The material is too thick and because you have to nest (my post above said next) the side curtains in order for them to fit into the TD box, I don't think they will make it.

And if all you are going to do is to put all the curtains in one bag why? The compartment is already lined with soft felt. I made my bags so they would not get scratched by each other when stored or taking them in/out.

Also they appear to be made of vinyl which is a no no. If you get any moisture on your side curtains, moisture will be trapped in there and cause them to rot or get a fungus. Either way not a good idea. The covers need to be breathable.

BTW for others who want to see these bags here is the link:

Hi Tom,

Earlier in the year my wife produced a set for my car which I then went on to sell a couple more sets on Ebay Europe.

Being a seamstress naturally they are of a high quality. I don't store my sidescreens in the car because the complete set would be too bulky, but I do sometimes store the rear screens.

The silly thing is because the covers are so nice when I store them in the house I put them in polythene covers!

I did briefly look into putting them on the global Ebay site but I think I'm right in saying that sending anything made of fabric to the US is like trying to send unsolicitated mail to the Whitehouse!

Your right, Moss charges a pretty penny (dollar), we retailed them out at a little over £100, the other owners were pleased with their sets.

Unlike Chris's our use velcro to seal the envelope and are made from a cotton drill fabric, like Chris said buy some fabric and trace around your screens, add a bit and away you go, easy, just don't tell the missus I said that.

Sheesh Cliff: "just don't tell the missus I said that."

I think you are doomed :-)

Nice bags though.

And as you said these are hard enough to get in the box without bags. With the bags on I grimace every-time I need to put them back in again. I even have to get out the instruction manual for the stacking order and which direction they go because my memory is only good for about 1 week.

Your response was truly helpful.
Thank you. I too store my curtains inside. Mine do not get wet. With climate change, it is never going to rain again where I live.....
I'm sure I will come up with a solution. Now, I keep them in flannel pillow cases, under our bed!
