MG TD TF 1500 - Silicone valve cover gasket

What's the general opinion of using a silicone valve cover gasket?

I installed silicone gaskets on the side cover and the valve cover a few months ago. Both are working great.

I have had very good results with the valve cover gasket on the TD and am installing the side cover gasket this weekend - have purchased a second set for my TF1500.
